Pashkovsky was acquitted “due to the lack of corpus delicti in his actions”, he was suspected of not declaring property.
The Supreme Anti-Corruption Court acquitted an MP from the Servant of the People faction who was suspected of not declaring assets. The Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office noted that the prosecutor disagrees with this court decision and will appeal it to the Appeals Chamber of VAKS. SAP does not name the representative, but the Judicial Legal Newspaper writes that it is Maxim Pashkovsky.
It was reported that Pashkovsky was acquitted “due to the lack of corpus delicti in his actions,” but the court did not satisfy the petition to cancel the monetary penalty, which was imposed on the deputy in connection with his failure to appear in court.
The prosecutor asked Pashkovsky to be found guilty of not declaring property and to fine him 51 thousand hryvnias, but the deputy said that “he did not receive any benefit” from “not declaring” and added that he signed the declaration “without checking.”
“However, this indicates that I have the intention to hide something … I want to file a declaration with the regulatory authority. My actions confirm this,” Pashkovsky emphasized, noting that he informed the NAPC is about mistakes.
The prosecutor disagrees with the court’s decision and plans to appeal it.
Recall that the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court, due to the lack of evidence of the composition of the criminal offense, acquitted the deputy from the People’s Servant Yuriy Kamelchuk, who was accused of declaring false information.
