Russia creates fake accounts of the military of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for propaganda
The Donbass.Realii publication writes about this.
The military’s TikTok account may be fake, and the information in it may be used by Russia for the war. The telegram channel allegedly of the Armed Forces brigade may not have anything to do with it.
Meanwhile, a group that has been scolding patriotic pictures for many months may suddenly spread the usual Russian stuff, journalists report.
After a year of full-scale war, several main theses could be noticed in Russian propaganda aimed at the Ukrainian consumer:
- Ukraine itself is to blame for the war;
- Russia has no claims against the Ukrainian people, it has claims against the Ukrainian authorities;
- the influence of the West is destructive for Ukrainian society;
- resistance does not make sense, one must seem.
In addition to obvious fakes, in the same TikTok there are many accounts and streams on which people pretend to be military personnel: they wear camouflage and talk about, for example, “there is no one to fight for”, “no one really appreciates warriors” or “why the rich don’t fight.” However, there is no certainty that these people are really military, the journalists say.
Always verify information, don’t join unverified groups, trust official sources, and don’t share messages online that you can’t verify.
