Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a regular meeting of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief, where the issue of the defense of Bakhmut was considered.
The participants of the Headquarters of the Supreme Commander supported the decision to strengthen the direction in Donbass and destroy the invaders around Bakhmut. This was announced on Tuesday, March 14, by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his video message.
“Held a Stavka meeting. Reports from the Commander-in-Chief, intelligence, command directions. The main focus is OSGV Khortytsya and Bakhmut. There is a clear position of the entire Stavka: to strengthen the direction that this, to destroy the invaders. as much as possible,” said Zelensky.
According to him, also during the Headquarters, General Alexander Tarnavsky reported in “Tavria” – part of Donetsk and south direction. General Eduard Moskalev reported the situation in OSGV “Odessa”, and General Sergei Naev – in “North”.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense urged not to believe fakes about the battles for Bakhmut. Their goal is to sow in Ukrainian society a discussion about whether it is worth defending the city “at any cost”, as well as distrust in the people who make military decisions.
Earlier, the commander of the Ground Forces, Colonel-General Alexander Syrsky, spoke about the situation in Bakhmut.
