Russia is developing biological weapons – State Department

A class of biological weapons refers to any microorganism or toxin found in nature that can be used to kill or harm people.

The Russian Federation continues to develop biological weapons in violation of the provisions of the Biological Weapons Convention. This was announced on Tuesday, March 14, by US State Department spokesman Ned Price in a briefing.

“The United States believes that Russia continues to support its offensive biological weapons program in violation of its obligations under the Biological Weapons Convention,” a US State Department spokesman said.

He also pointed out that Russia is trying in every possible way to divert attention on this matter from itself.

According to Ned Price, Russian propagandists have been promoting false information about so-called “biological weapons laboratories” on Ukrainian territory for years. So, the Kremlin is trying to justify its military aggression.

For this purpose, Kremlin-controlled media, information sites linked to Russian intelligence, and so-called experts are involved.

“These entities work together to continuously, drop by drop, fill the information environment with false narratives to create the illusion of a large number of voices repeating each other,” Price said.

Remember, the UN rejected Russia’s accusations about the activities of US biolaboratories in Ukraine.

Earlier, the Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the UN assures that Washington transfers to Kyiv drones with mosquitoes that carry diseases dangerous for Russian soldiers.
