95% of Kyiv schoolchildren are proud of Ukraine. Compared to 2021, this figure has doubled and is the highest since 2014.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey of schoolchildren in grades 8-11 on the language environment, which was published today by the Kiev City State Administration.
76% of students believe that Ukrainian should be the only state language.
69% of adolescents invest in the concept of “patriotism” work for the well-being of their state. Half of the young respondents note that communication in the state language is an important component.
86% of students noted that most of their environment communicates in Ukrainian. The majority (59%) of respondents perceive content on social networks equally easily both in Ukrainian and in a foreign language. At the same time, 36% of schoolchildren admitted that they do not maintain pages in social networks in Ukrainian.
The survey was conducted from February 23 to March 5 in Kyiv schools among 25,450 students. The proportion of internally displaced persons in the survey was 22%.
