Iran pardoned 82,000 people, including 22,000 people who participated in the protests.
The head of Iran’s judiciary, Gholam-Hossein Mohseni-Ejei, said 22,000 convicted participants in anti-government protests had been pardoned. This was reported by Reuters.
“Today 82,000 people have been pardoned, including 22,000 people who participated in the protests,” he said.
It will be recalled that after the death of 22-year-old Mahsa Amini on September 16, who died after being detained by the morale police, Iran was stirred by mass protests. The country decided to kill all the protesters.
As reported, Iran has begun carrying out executions of jailed protesters.
