A citizen of Ukraine brought 200 boxes with more than 100,000 packs of cigarettes in a truck.
Smuggled cigarettes found the previous day in a tank with alleged sunflower oil are estimated at 6 million hryvnias. The State Border Service reported this on Sunday, March 12.
The department recalled that yesterday a truck loaded with a large batch of tobacco products was stopped at the Romanian border.
“Currently, the number of discovered smoke has been completed. In total, with the design features of the truck, the Ukrainian brought 200 boxes with more than 100,000 packages of tobacco products,” the report said.
The estimated value of the smuggled goods, which were supposed to be delivered to the UK, reached more than 6 million Hryvnia, more than 1.3 million Hryvnia – the value of a truck tractor, semi-trailer and container tank.
It was previously reported that 1.6 million packs of cigarettes without excise stamps were found in the Lviv region. In taxes, it is 85 million hryvnia.
