Director Taras Golubkov received permission from the Ministry of Culture to temporarily travel abroad to shoot a documentary about the war in Ukraine, but instead of Europe he went to Russia.
There he shot a video for the Russian singer Klava Koka. In the description under her video on YouTube, Max Irman is indicated as the director of the video, but in the story for one of the Russian channels, Golubkov was shown at the director’s console.
Golubkov, who fled to Moscow, previously shot videos for Artem Pivovarov and Jerry Heil, and also directed the video for the song Dolphins by the Scriabin group.
The Russian actor Sergei Glavchev, who starred in the video, indicated Golubkov as the director in his social networks.
The Ministry of Culture confirmed that it had allowed Golubkov to leave temporarily in November to film a documentary about the war in Ukraine. Golubkov himself closed his pages on social networks and does not comment on the scandal.
Since January 2023, Russian woman Klava Koka has been under the sanctions of the National Security and Defense Council for anti-Ukrainian activities.
The Ministry of Culture of Ukraine granted permission to Golubkov for temporary departure from November 14 to November 30, 2022. They explained that Golubkov called the reason for leaving “the shooting of a documentary film about the war in Ukraine The War Diary.”
