US State Department spokesman Ned Price called the video of the execution of an unarmed Ukrainian soldier by Russian invaders “horrific”. Price said this in a briefing on Tuesday, March 7.
“The horrific sight of this unarmed Ukrainian being killed after a simple statement of ‘Glory to Ukraine’ is simply amazing in terms of its barbarity,” Price said.
He added that Russia “should be ashamed of itself” and that their actions ignore “elementary humanity, the basic rules of war and decency.”
Price also noted that, unfortunately, this is not the only case of Russian war crimes, and their number is determined by tens of thousands of facts.
Recall that a video appeared on the Web, where the Russian military shot an unarmed Ukrainian prisoner of war after his words “Glory to Ukraine.” Later, the GUR announced that they would do everything to find those responsible for the shooting of an unarmed Ukrainian soldier.
