Russian mercenaries from PMC Wagner tried to attack one of the fortresses of the Ukrainian defenders in the direction of Bakhmut.
Ukrainian border guards reported that they killed seven Russian invaders near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. This was announced on Monday, March 6, in a message from the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine on Telegram.
The incident happened the other day, when a group of Russian military mercenaries tried to attack one of the Ukrainian fortresses in the direction of Bakhmut. They were stopped in close combat.
Losing part of the forces, the enemy began to retreat.
“National Guard air reconnaissance tracked down the fugitives, and border guards-mortars destroyed at least seven invaders,” the report said.
Earlier, the founder of the Russian private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said that the Armed Forces of Ukraine formed a group to block the “Wagnerites” in the direction of Bakhmut.
It should be noted that the Armed Forces of Ukraine previously explained the importance of defending the city of Bakhmut, which has been going on for more than seven months. In just one day there were 59 attacks and 29 clashes.
