The regional authorities have given ten days for a voluntary return in the prescribed manner. Fulfillment of the requirement is under the personal control of the head of the OVA.
Civilians who received weapons to protect homes and families at the start of a massive Russian invasion must return them to authorities within ten days. This was announced on March 6 in Telegram by the head of the Dnepropetrovsk regional military administration, Serhiy Lysak.
“Civilians must return their firearms and ammunition within ten days. Such deadlines were announced today in a traditional meeting with law enforcement officials on the security situation in the region,” he specified.
Lysak explained that when the situation in the region stabilized, some people returned their weapons.
“The rest were left” in hand. We know the lists of these citizens, we will not publish them yet. But, I will emphasize again, they have ten days, starting today, to return the weapons in the prescribed manner,” stressed the leader of UVA.
Lysak added that the meeting also discussed the issues of intensifying the demining of territories before the start of spring field work and the crime situation in the region.
Recall that at the end of November 2015, Ukrainians had two million who were not identified for weapons.
