Riders take a very difficult position on horseback, known as “sitting on a chair”.
Researchers believe that humans first saddled horses in eastern Europe about five thousand years ago. They are representatives of the ancient Yamnaya culture, writes IFLScience.
“It seems that the art of riding was developed soon after horses were first domesticated in the western Eurasian steppes around 4000 BC. In addition, it was common among representatives of the Yamnaya culture between 3000 and 2500 BC. e.”, the researchers note.
After examining the remains of 156 skeletons, scientists turned their attention to the signs of “horseman syndrome” – certain physical symptoms that appear in riders who regularly train on horseback. This is a change in the shape of the femoral cavities, degeneration of the vertebrae caused by repeated bruises, skeletal injuries due to falls, as well as changes in the pelvic and femoral bones.
It is noted that the riders took a very difficult position on the back of the horse, known as “sitting on a chair.” It requires constant pressure from the feet to stay on the horse’s back.
We remind you, earlier a resident of Okoni County in the state of South Carolina, Harry Chase Coble Jr. was arrested for kidnapping a horse, which he tried to hide in the bedroom of his house.
In Gostomel the stable was burned with the horses
