Polish police on Saturday, March 4, in the city of Radlów detained a man suspected of deliberately burning ambulances intended to help Ukraine. One ambulance was completely burned, and the other could be repaired. This was reported by the local TV channel TVN24.
The fire broke out on Friday night in the parking lot of the municipal office. The police at the scene of the incident worked on Saturday, he found out that the cars were intentionally set on fire. A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of arson.
On Saturday morning, the two ambulances were supposed to leave for Ukraine in the convoy of the Power of the Future Foundation. The ambulance that was destroyed by fire was intended for one of the hospitals in Kharkov.
Every week throughout the year, the Foundation brings humanitarian aid to Ukraine, and today it raised money for a new car.
Ten vehicles will be delivered to Ukraine – six ambulances and four pickup trucks.
The second part of the transport – two trucks with medical equipment – were not injured and went to hospitals in Ukraine.
