The Russian army has not stopped destroying historical monuments and shelling in Toretsk, the villages of Zheleznoye and New York.
In New York, Donetsk region, one of the few historical monuments – the steam mill of Peter Dikk – burned down. This was reported by the regional military administration on Monday, May 9.
On Sunday, May 8, a Russian shell hit the building of an old steam mill, built in 1903 by German Peter Dikk. An important object of the historical and cultural heritage of the Donetsk region was completely burned.
“In New York, one of the few historic monuments burned down – Peter Dikk’s steam mill. The monument survived two world wars,” OVA said in a statement.
