“In terms of the volume of reservoirs (4 billion cubic meters of gas), it is one of the largest UGS facilities in Western Europe. So far, the injection is very small: on May 7 and 8 – almost one million cubic meters each one, the external manager hopes to increase its intensity, ”the message said.
It also indicates that Europe continues to increase gas injection into underground storage facilities. So far, reserves account for 36.81% of UGS capacity, the previous day’s growth was 0.5%. The current level of reserves at UGS facilities in Europe is 4.7% behind the five -year average.
If in April the injection was restrained by high gas prices, then at the beginning of May and an increase in imports from Russia, it is possible to increase its speed. In the first seven days of May, the rate of gas injection at UGS facilities exceeded the average over the past five years by 52% (in April, the surplus was only 12%).
At the same time, the applications of European importers for the supply of Russian gas through the territory of Ukraine are stable at the level of almost 100 million cubic meters. m per day, which is close to the volume of long -term bookings of Gazprom in the Ukrainian corridor (40 billion cubic meters per year, or 109 million cubic meters per day).
