The marines of the Russian Federation suffered a crushing defeat near Ugledar, Donetsk region.
A satellite image from the Vuhledar direction shows destroyed Russian equipment, which was probably part of the 155th Marine Brigade. This brigade in Russia is considered an elite army. However, this brigade was not deployed in Ukraine as the only large grouping, as was the case with the 155th brigade of paratroopers. This is stated in the new report of the Ministry of Defense of Great Britain for February 26.
According to intelligence information, the Russian command set one of the most difficult tactical tasks for the Marines and the unit suffered huge losses. However, Moscow decided to replenish the brigade with inexperienced mobilized.
This lack of experience almost certainly reinforces the tendency of Russian officers to micromanage, which in turn reduces operational flexibility, the report says.
It is not ruled out in London that Russia will once again throw units of the 155th brigade into new attacks near Ugledar.
