The Ministry of Defense (MO) of Spain believes that the threatening rhetoric of the leader of the Russian Federation indicates a danger to humanity.
Russia and the head of its ruling regime, Vladimir Putin, do not want peace. This is what Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said in an interview with the newspaper La Vanguardia.
The Spanish official commented this way on Putin’s latest speech.
“(Putin – ed.) It is emphasized that he does not want peace. He knows that he is losing this battle. His very threatening statements that “the war will not end” and that Russia is invincible indicate the danger to humanity,” he explained.
According to him, Russia is unlikely to use nuclear weapons against Ukraine, “but it could all be in Putin’s head.”
The minister also added that Spain has no data that would indicate Russia’s readiness for such a step.
“We all want a ceasefire, but the Russian president has made it clear, without any doubt, that he wants to continue this war. At the cost of the lives of thousands of Ukrainians, as well as many Russians who forced to face death. for no reason, because it’s not fair, it’s not legal,” she concluded.
Recall that Putin recently called Ukraine “enslaved” by the West in a message to the Federal Assembly.
He also threatened to expand the war if Western countries supply Ukraine with long-range weapons.
