The shortage of electricity generation in Ukraine will decrease, as two more power units have been launched.
The main two reasons in terms of limiting the supply of electricity for consumption are the lack of generation and problems in the transmission of electricity. This was announced on February 11 by Minister of Energy German Galushchenko, reports Obshchestvennoe.
Indeed, yesterday there was another massive attack, which dealt blows both to the generation and to the possibility of transmission. Today, by launching the appropriate blocks, we significantly reduce the deficit in the system. Accordingly, this will affect the duration of outages,” he said.
Galushchenko added that his department is working on the possibility of increasing the capacity of electricity production. What was damaged as a result of Russian attacks is being repaired, mothballed equipment is being used and the energy system is being decentralized. Thus, a number of diverse solutions are being actively implemented.
DTEK in Telegram announced that on Sunday, February 11, the lights will not be turned off in Kyiv, Kyiv, Odessa and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Ukrenergo did not provide restrictions on electricity consumption. However, scheduled shutdown is possible if the system is overloaded.
Recall that in recent days the Russian Federation has been trying to attack critical infrastructure with missiles and kamikaze drones. In particular, on the night of February 11, the invaders attacked the critical infrastructure of the Dnepropetrovsk region with drones. “Shaheds” hit two energy facilities in the Krivoy Rog region and one in Nikopol. Significant destruction was recorded everywhere.
