The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, February 11, the NSDC of Ukraine included the heads of the SBU – Vasily Malyuk and the Ministry of Internal Affairs – Igor Klymenko. This is confirmed by the related order No. 73/2023 of the head of state.
“Introduce Igor Vladimirovich Klymenko, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, to the personal composition of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine,” says the text of the document.
In addition, the membership in the National Security and Defense Council of the deceased Denis Monastyrsky was terminated.
Malyuk Vasily Vasilyevich, the head of the Security Service of Ukraine, was also approved as part of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
As you know, Igor Klymenko, who acted as the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs after the death of Denis Monastyrsky, was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs.
Let’s add, on January 18, a helicopter led by the Ministry of Internal Affairs crashed in the city of Brovary. All nine people on board were killed, among them Minister Denis Monastyrsky.
On the same day, the Cabinet of Ministers appointed Klimenko deputy head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and entrusted him with the duties of the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
