Four people have been prosecuted for the alleged crime of drug trafficking in a house in the Vistalegre family compound in Lima’s San Juan de Lurigancho neighborhood. Peruvian National Police seizes 10 kg of basic coca paste wrapped in bags inside the backpack, as well as two scales and 650 soles in cash.
Colonel Ivan Pimentel provided more details on what was found during the intervention.
“At this time, a group of people living in this house intervened, who found packages containing approximately 10 kg of basic coca paste inside this backpack. Also found were two scales and 650 new salt money. We have Dionan Gordillo Vallejos, 31; Edin Gordillo Vallejos, 34; Ever Mejia Ventura, 36; and Rebeca Colunche Gallirgos, 18,” he said.
According to police, those involved in the incident denied their involvement. They will be placed at the disposal of the Drug Enforcement Directorate of the National Police of Peru.
The mayor of San Juan de Lurigancho talks about the problems of his district
The mayor of San Juan de Lurigancho, Jesús Maldonado, cited the problems in his area, including the hitmen, and said that the central government was actually responsible for combating the crime.
“As mayor, I would like the government to seriously think about it, because we are not solving the problem of hitmen.. We can effectively close canteens, bars, brothels. We can close discos that cause discomfort to our neighbors, but the problem of security in a space where there are killers, drug addiction, is the problem of the National Police. And here is what should be noted. Every day we run out of cops. San Juan de Lurigancho was left without police, because, unfortunately, we have a conflict with the government and every day there is a march and a demonstration, and all the thieves are happy, because San Juan de Lurigancho is left without police, ”said he is in News extension from PTR.
