But in recent days, U.S. officials have confirmed that data from U.S. intelligence sources was provided to Ukraine hours before Neptune rockets were launched.
“Ukrainian forces, having spotted a Russian warship in the Black Sea, contacted their American contacts to confirm that it was indeed the cruiser Moskva. The American side replied that it was the ship and gave of intelligence at its location, ”they said.
At the same time, it was not specified whether the United States knew at the time that the Ukrainian side was preparing a strike on the cruiser. As the interlocutors stressed, the Armed Forces of Ukraine has made a decision about it on their own, the United States is not involved in it.
