Kyiv collectors donated a painting to Maria Primachenko for the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Maria Pryimachenko’s painting “Flowers grew near Unit 4” was sold at a charity auction for $ 500,000. This was announced on Thursday, May 5, by organizers on Facebook.
“We raised $ 500,000 at auction for the sale of Marina Primachenko’s painting for the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” the report said.
All proceeds from the auction will go to the Serhiy Prytula Charitable Foundation to help the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
It was noted that the starting price of the photo was five thousand dollars. Maria Primachenko’s family refused royalties in favor of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The name of the buyer was not reported.
Maria Primachenko created the painting that Flowers grew around the fourth block in 1990.
Recall that Christie’s auction house has planned a series of auctions in support of humanitarian initiatives in Ukraine, as well as projects engaged in the preservation of the country’s cultural heritage.
