The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has summoned the Chargé d’Affaires of Ukraine in Tehran.
The call of the Ukrainian diplomat was due to the reaction of Ukrainian officials to the explosions at Iranian military facilities. We are talking about the statement of the adviser to the head of the Office of the President Mikhail Podolyak. He wrote on Twitter that Iran will not go unpunished for helping Russia in the war against Ukraine. Reuters writes about it.
Explosive night in Iran. Ukraine warned, – Podolyak commented, a strike on a plant in Isfahan, where shock drones are produced.
Recall that in Iran on the night of January 29, a series of explosions sounded at strategic facilities. They report attacks on military warehouses, an ammunition production center, an air base, and oil refineries. That day, not only defense enterprises and a petrochemical plant were attacked. Drones also hit a convoy of 25 trucks that could be carrying Iranian weapons.
Some media reported that the US military and Israel were involved in the explosions. Separate media refute the involvement of Israel. So far, no one has taken official responsibility for attacks on Iranian facilities.
