The imprisoned citizens of Ukraine, whom the invaders forcibly took to Russian places of deprivation of liberty, are recruited by Russia as mercenaries.

In particular, in Krasnodar there is an active recruitment of such persons into the Wagner private military company. Most Ukrainian prisoners are dissatisfied with the forced change in the situation, and Russian convicts treat Ukrainians with disdain. This is stated in the morning summary of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine for January 25.

It is noted that the enemy is most actively trying to recruit Ukrainian citizens convicted of serious criminal offenses.

The command also reported that the enemy was taking medical equipment from the central city hospital to the city of Genichesk from the city of Kakhovka in the Kherson region.

Recall that the head of the charitable foundation “Seated Rus'” Olga Romanova stated that out of 50 thousand Russian prisoners recruited by the Wagner PPK to participate in the war in Ukraine, only 10 thousand people remained. All the rest were eliminated or wounded, or missing, or deserted, or surrendered.
