Experts in Ukraine have proposed a volunteer project guide, which will collect examples of the creation of high -quality public spaces.
Specialists in Ukraine, based on the best examples in the world, will create a guide to recovery in the city, said on Tuesday, May 3, Deputy Head of the Office of the President Kyrylo Tymoshenko.
“In the reference book, it is possible to view and review the design code of typical city blocks and streets for quick and comprehensive restoration of destroyed cities,” he said.
The official clarified that one hundred experts are working on creating a catalog of typical elements of all street areas: facades, entrances and summer areas, pedestrian areas, landscaping, street furniture , bicycle networks, public transport and cars.
“Many countries and cities already have such guides. For example, the American Global street design guide, which describes the rules for designing modern streets. Or the Prague beautification guide, which describes objects in public spaces and the rules for their location, ”he said.
Tymoshenko added that these reference books can be used in the reconstruction of cities in Ukraine after the war.
Earlier, the deputy head of the Presidential Office said that this year it is planned to provide housing for approximately 186,000 IDPs, the state will provide more than 53,000 apartments.
