Chief spokesman for the Taliban government, Zabiullah Mujahidwarned the United States this Sunday to stop interfering in domestic decision-making processes after criticism received for directing a ban Afghan work for non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
“American officials must stop interfering in our internal affairs. All those institutions that want to work in Afghanistan are required to abide by the rules and regulations of our country,” a Taliban government spokesman instructed on Twitter.
Mujahideen defended the decision taken yesterday by the country’s authorities regarding the suspension of the work of women working in national and international NGOs, saying that all institutions established in the country must comply with Islamic or Sharia law.
The announcement released by the Afghan authorities is prepared on the occasion of an announcement released by the Chargé d’Affaires ai of the US Mission in Afghanistan. Karen Deckerin which he denounces fundamentalists for “saving women and children from starvation when women are no longer allowed to distribute aid to other women and children.”
Faced with these words, the Taliban government stressed that they would not allow “anyone to speak nonsense or threaten our leaders’ decisions regarding humanitarian aid.” (As reported by EFE)
