Geologist and former President of the National Service of Meteorology and Hydrology of Peru (senamhi) Patricio Valderrama noted this Thursday that the feeling of freshness on the central and southern coasts of the country is due to the presence of South Pacific High.

So, these days, the feeling of heat has also intensified, and in general the temperature has also dropped, mainly on the southern coast and the central coast. That’s why we feel more freshness these days, a more pleasant peace these days,” he explained.

“The winds and cold water that the anticyclone brings us are weakening and mostly remain on the Chilean coast, and hot sea temperatures and evaporation begin to send there again, and the feeling of stuffiness returns next week,” the specialist added.

As for the weather forecast for these days, Patrick Valderrama indicated that today in Chulukanas, Huancabamba, Olmos, Motupe and Chongoyap, moderate to heavy thunderstorms and rainfall are expected during the day and night.

“On Friday, the rains subside a little, but we continue with thunderstorms, lightning and thunder, in the northern cities they reach Piura, including Sullana. The bulk of the rain falls on the Piura and Lambayeque mountains and this trend causes the rain to fall. towards the coast, towards the cities, causing flooding. On Sunday, the rains are easing and the same cities are affected,” he said.
