Dina Boluarte announces the reorganization of the Department of Reconstruction with changes: “We need to work in the field”

President of the Republic Dina Boluarte announced the reorganization Authorization for reconstruction with changes with the aim of providing a “real solution” against rain and flooding in the face of the threat of Cyclone Yaku. In this sense, he also announced that the offices of this institution could not remain in Lima.

“Reconstruction with changes should include the transfer of its offices to the north of the country. It makes no sense for a business to operate from an office in the center of Lima. You have to work in the field and solve problems on the ground,” he said at a press conference.

Dina Boluarte also announced that he was preparing a bill on the creation National Infrastructure Administrationwhich he indicated would have decentralized offices throughout the country.

“This national body will have 3 strategic goals: it will be responsible for carrying out symbolic works throughout the country, prevention and control of basins and floods, and improvement of the Rimak river basin, among other things,” he said.

On the other hand, the Head of State spoke about the incident that occurred with Deputy Minister of Benefits Henri Rebaza in Ayacucho, who drank alcohol after an official event. “Those bodies that evade responsible and honest work should be punished appropriately,” he stressed. However, he rejected the aggression on the part of the official.

Minister of Defense Jorge Chavezcommented in the morning to RPP News that a management reorganization is being assessed because, despite the chaos caused by the 2017 coastal children phenomenon, “little or nothing” has progressed on the river drainage system.

“If we do not do this in the medium term, next year when a similar or worse scenario occurs, with the presence of a global El Niño phenomenon, we will have more emergencies that we will not be able to contain if we do not act quickly and immediately. what work should be done in this restructuring of the reconstruction with changes,” he said.

Rosemary Cornejo, President of the Office of Reconstruction with Change (ARCC), in dialogue with RPP Noticias noted that since she took office, she has begun the process of restructuring the organization at the request of President Dina Boluarte and Prime Minister Alberto Otarola.

The restructuring, he says, is in response to little progress being made in projects to manage rivers and streams to prevent the devastating effects of natural disasters.

The President of ARCC indicated that her organization is working on an action plan that includes 3 main areas aimed at accelerating the construction of preventive work.
