The father of the family suffered from the theft of his car when he enrolled his son in a school located in the 3rd quarter of Giron Macinarias in the San Juan de Lurigancho area.
Victim identified as Vincent Cuya Rock, claimed that the theft of his minibus occurred on March 1, when he was attending the school of the youngest of his children. On that day, Cuya Roque parked his car near the educational institution, and due to an oversight, two criminals, taking advantage of the fact that he was conducting procedures, seized the minibus.
The school’s CCTV cameras caught one of the perpetrators making sure that no one came close, while the other easily opened the door of the minivan to get in and take him away.

“My only tool I had was to support myself. They gave me my daughters who have their own store to be able to distribute and with all the goods they took. I filed a complaint with La Huayrona, that’s what I paid. It’s just that on this day the Macarengo school makes an appointment for me at 4 pm. I arrived quickly and left for only 20 minutes. But every time I “agitated”, every five minutes and the last one to leave, my car was not there” , – he said.
Vicente Cuya Roque’s minivan is valued at $13,000, in addition to $5,000 worth of goods that were in the car on the day of the robbery.
A complaint was filed with the La Huyron police station, but so far the family has not received any response.
In 2022, the Car Theft Prevention and Investigation Division managed to recover over 4,000 stolen vehicles.
