Bill 2275/2022/CR was approved on Tuesday by the Science, Technology and Innovation Commission and aims to add principles governing this technology in our territory.

The draft was presented in August and presented to a commission chaired by Congressman Segundo Montalvo Cubas.

His proposal lays the groundwork for six principles:

Supervised security: seeks to ensure that the state gives priority to the security of data to be used as a database for artificial intelligence.

Multilateral approach: what artificial intelligence can facilitate the participation of various people, public and private institutions.

Internet Control: tries to promote the development and application of rules and regulations by the state and other institutions.

Digital Society: an attempt will be made to evaluate information and knowledge obtained through digital technologies, and security and trust in them will be increased.

Ethical Development of Responsible Artificial Intelligence: lay the ethical foundations for accountability systems in this new landscape.

Artificial intelligence privacy: this technology does not violate people’s privacy and has a positive impact.

To do this, Cueto proposes a National Strategy for Artificial Intelligence (ENIA), which will not cost the state, where all organizations can promote the use of AI in public services, such as better services to citizens, in education, in the fields of justice or telecommunications.
