This large cluster was first imaged in 1995, but in less detail.
The American space agency NASA for the first time received a detailed picture of the Pillars of Creation. It was taken with the help of the new largest space telescope James Webb. The photo appeared on the agency’s website.
The Pillars of Creation are a giant collection of interstellar gas and dust located in the Eagle Nebula in the constellation Serpens.
“The Pillars of Creation are located 6500-7000 light-years from the solar system. They get their name from their resemblance to majestic rocks, but they are mainly composed of cold molecular hydrogen and dust. When the nodes of sufficient mass are formed inside these clouds. of gas and dust , they begin to collapse under the influence of their own gravity, slowly heat up and eventually form new stars. Such “fresh “stars in the picture look like bright red balls.
The undulating lava-like pattern around the edges is ejecta from stars that are still forming from gas and dust. NASA says that young stars periodically emit supersonic jets that crash into columnar clouds of matter. Sometimes this leads to the creation of patterns.

Recall that James Webb first took a picture of the Wolf-Ryet star, which is located at a distance of about 5600 light-years from us.
