Huawei is still active in the world of smartphones, although far from the rhythms it was in before the commercial blockade imposed by the United States. Despite the restrictions, the Chinese brand is announcing the Mate 50 in a few days, and a “foldable” surprise is expected in this announcement: a possible P50 Pocket variant for 2022.
According to documents filed with the China Telecommunications Certification Agency (TENAA), this new Huawei foldable device resembles the P50 Pocket and Samsung Galaxy Z Flip with a toad-like format.
In doing so, the papers credit the BAL-AL80 (team name) with a 6.9-inch flexible OLED screen and a 21:9 aspect ratio, in addition to supporting up to 120Hz refresh rates.
Huawei is not ditching mobile phones
This new smartphone, according to TENAA certification, includes a combination of three photo lenses on the back: a 40MP main camera, a 13MP wide-angle lens, and possibly a 32MP UV spectrum camera, like on the P50 Pocket for solar reference. radiation.
There is no indication that the camera system includes Xmage technology, a new development by Huawei since the end of its collaboration with Leica in 2022.
