China launches Earth remote sensing satellite

China launched the Long March-2D rocket, which launched a satellite for remote sensing of the Earth into space. This was reported by Xinhua.

The satellite, called Beijing-3B, was launched at 11:01 am Beijing time from the Taiyuan Cosmodrome in northern Shanxi province and soon entered its intended orbit.

It is said that it will be used to provide remote sensing services in the field of land management, agricultural resource research, environmental monitoring and urban applications.

The spacecraft was launched on June 11, 2021. This is the 434th flight of the Long March rocket.

It was earlier reported that China has successfully launched 16 new satellites into space.
