New military assistance for Ukraine was announced by Norway and Great Britain.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive Norwegian-made Black Hornet microdrones. The purchase price will be up to NOK 90 million, which is equivalent to $9.1 million. The package includes the UAVs themselves with spare parts, transport and training. The funding will go through a British-led fund, to which Norway contributed 400 million crowns. This was reported by the Ministry of Defense of Norway.

According to the Norwegian military, Kyiv has asked to transfer these microdrones for use in the fight against the Russian invasion. This UAV is used in a number of NATO countries, including the United States and Britain. He can not only conduct reconnaissance, but also determine targets.

Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram noted that the Black Hornet is easy to operate and reliable. In addition, this drone is difficult to detect and is particularly well suited for combat in urban areas.

Through the British fund, they will also purchase an anti-drone system for about NOK 100 million. The Nightfighter from the British SteelRock Technologies was chosen as the system.

Recall that the United States of America will send 15 ScanEagles reconnaissance drones to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which can help Ukrainian fighters aim at important enemy targets. Each such UAV costs $19 million.
