Elon Musk’s SpaceX has successfully launched the Falcon Heavy rocket, launching the American telecommunications satellite Jupiter 3 into geostationary orbit. The company announced this on Twitter on Saturday, July 29th.

The launch vehicle launched from the Kennedy Space Center Launch Pad LC-39A in Cape Canaveral Florida on Friday at 23:04 ET (Saturday at 06:04 ET)
The communication satellite weighing 9.2 tons is the heaviest in the world. The machine is designed for high speed Internet connection. It can provide a maximum bandwidth of 500 gigabits per second in the United States, Canada, Mexico and South America. The satellite cost $445 million and was ordered from Maxar manufacturer EchoStar and a subsidiary of Hughes Network Systems.
After separation from the carrier, two Falcon Heavy side boosters made vertical landings on the LZ-1 and LZ-2 pads at the Cape Canaveral launch site.
