Saqqara is a vast necropolis of the ancient Egyptian capital of Memphis. It is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. There are more than a dozen pyramids, animal burial sites and ancient Coptic Christian monasteries.

The figurines depict various gods and goddesses – Bastet, Anubis, Osiris, Isis, Nefertum and Hathor. And the mummies found belong to the 5th century BC.
