Archaeologists during excavations in the city of Liyang during the Qin and Han dynasties in Shaanxi province discovered a 2,400-year-old flush toilet design. This was reported by Thepaper.
The remains of the toilet were found at the site of the ruins of a large palace building by archaeologists from the Institute of Archeology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
It is noted that the toilet seat on the platform and the external sewer drain remained from the entire structure.
