Amazonas Nexus is owned by Hispasat. It aims to expand communication services in South and North America, as well as in the Atlantic.
The Falcon 9 launch vehicle has successfully launched the Spanish communications satellite Amazonas Nexus into orbit. It was announced on February 7 by SpaceX.
The launch took place on Monday at 20.32 US East Coast time (Tuesday 03.42 Kyiv time) from the launch complex at Cape Canaveral in Florida.

Falcon 9’s reusable first stage, used for the sixth time, 8.5 minutes after launch, made a vertical controlled landing on an offshore drone platform in the Atlantic.

It should be noted that the geostationary satellite, produced by Thales Alenia Space for the Hispasat satellite operator, is designed to provide improved communication services in South and North America, as well as in the Atlantic, including for aircraft and ships.
Most of Hispasat’s revenues come primarily from Latin America.
