congressman Raul Felipe Dorotheo Carbajo (Popular Action) He was sentenced by the Ica Single Court, which gave him a four-year suspended sentence for making a false statement in an administrative process and lying in general.
According to the verdict, Doroteo Carbajo recorded up to National Election Jury that he graduated in Systems and Information Technology from the University of San Ignacio de Loyola (USIL); however, the indicated institution indicated that the convict had the status not of a graduate, but of a registered one.
At a hearing, the Second Single Criminal Court of Pisco found the MP of the People’s Action guilty of and liable for the crime against the administration of justice of making a false statement in an administrative proceeding and against public belief – a common lie to the detriment of the state, for which he was sentenced to four years in prison suspended for a probationary period of 2 years.
This was established by the Unified Criminal Court when he indicated among his testimony that the crime was committed when convicted Doroteo Carbajo, in a sworn statement he submitted in 2013 to JNE, stated that he was a graduate of “Systems and Computers”. The verdict also stipulates that the convicted person during the probationary period must comply with the established rules of conduct, under penalty of cancellation of the conditionality of the sentence if they are not observed, in accordance with the provisions of Article 59 of the Criminal Code.
