The government is planning to restructure the work plan of the Reconstruction Administration with Changes (ARCC) due to the onset of Cyclone Yacu, which affected northern regions such as Piura and Lambayeque. This was announced on Monday by the Minister of Defense Jorge Chavez.

Thus, he showed that by order President Dina Boluarte the restructuring of the “master plan” was organized ARCC give priority to works involving drainage systems for water accumulated as a result of heavy rains; and the management of river basins to “regulate and facilitate their release to the sea” in the face of future rainfall.
“If we do not do this in the medium term, next year when a similar or worse scenario occurs, with the presence of a global El Niño phenomenon, we will have more emergencies that we will not be able to contain if we do not act quickly and immediately. what work should be done in this restructuring of the reconstruction with changes,” he said.
“There is a willingness on the part of the president to restructure the Reconstruction Administration through changes,” he added.
Chavez Cross clarified that the restructuring does not involve a change in the officers or executive management of the institution headed by Rosemary Cornejo Valdiviatook office on January 11, 2023.
“This restructuring, let’s not talk about people, because we just have an executive who has not even been in office for 40 days.
