The Russians are placing air defense systems near residential buildings, The Insider notes.
The Russians began cutting down forests and protected areas to install air defense systems (air defense) in some areas of Moscow. Authorities will deploy air defenses in residential buildings. This was reported by The Insider.
In particular, military equipment was placed in the experimental fields of the Timiryazev Academy. The site in the Timiryazevsky district north of Moscow was the first in the city where air defense systems appeared. The S-400 anti-aircraft missile system is installed there. The fields of the Timiryazev Academy are surrounded by residential buildings. The nearest house is only 200 meters away.
Also, air defense was installed in the Losiny Ostrov park-reserve northeast of Moscow. The distance between the S-400 air defense system and the houses is about 200 meters. The territory of the park belongs to a special protected natural area. The law prohibits logging in the area.
However, one of the largest air defense sites was prepared right on the left bank of the Moscow River in the Kuryanovo microdistrict. There they destroyed a belt of forest with an area of about 100 hectares between the river and the fence of the sewage treatment plant. The length of the forest is more than two kilometers
At the same time, near this zone is the Church of the Ascension, which is included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
An additional location for air defense in Moscow will appear in the Izmailovsky forest park. They have already started cutting trees 500 meters from the Izmailovskaya metro station.
Interestingly, in New Moscow, the air defense was placed in the largest garbage dump in Europe – the Salaryevo training ground. Military equipment can be seen there from the top floors of tall buildings. The Russians put Buk and Thor in the garbage dump.
