Aunap denounces new superintendent Sunedu as not qualified for position

Following the formalization of the appointment of Manuel Castillo Venegas as the new superintendent of Sunedu, elected last Thursday, Association of National Universities of Peru (Aunap) released a statement this Saturday in which they criticized the said appointment.

“In addition to this, the ruling of the Constitutional Court (…) states that Sunedu can be described as an independent administrative body in a legal framework that will not be undermined by political interference in the performance of its functions,” he said.

The Association of Public Universities also questioned whether the “new and incomplete” Board of Directors Sunedu was installed on the 12th floor of the headquarters of the Ministry of Education.
