The new version of the hybrid supercar has received increased strength, weight loss, improved aerodynamics and components from the 1 -car formula.
Ferrari has officially introduced 296 Specials Compartment and 296 Speciale a convertible, even stronger versions of the 296 hybrid supercar, who joined the exclusive line of models with Special’s dedication.
The plugin-hybrid power plant will form 867 HP, which is 49 hp. More than the standard 296. The maximum car speed exceeds 330 km/h.
The basis of the power plant is a 3.0-liter V6 with two turbins, which produces 690 hp. Engine refinements include titanium connecting rods, new pistons, a lightweight crankshaft and a detonation control system, borrowed from the 1 -car formula. The electrical motor adds another 177 HP, and the full power is transmitted exclusively to the rear axle through the 8-speed robotic DCT box.
The car has the ability to drive up to 24 km only to electric administrators.
The car was reduced to the car – the Special compartment option dropped 60 kg, and the convertible – 50 kg. This is achieved thanks to the widespread use of carbon fiber in the interior and in the body panels. The cabin has new “minimalistic” door panels and consoles from bare carbon.
To improve aerodynamics, the body is updated, in particular, the front and rear bumpers, as well as an active spoiler, which is advanced depending on the speed or the selected traffic mode. A large diffuser is placed behind, which, along with other changes, provides 20% more clamping force compared to the 296 standard.
The rear convertible spoiler is supplemented by an air element in the headrest zone, reducing disturbance and improves ventilation.
The suspension was that modernized in Titanium Springs, reduced clearance and adjustable multimatic shock absorbers from racing 296 GT3. The special wheels of the Michelin Pilot Sport Cup2 are installed on the machine, specifically created for this version, as well as the new classic five -Poke discs.
The official cost of 296 Specials has not been announced. Both versions will be sold from the beginning of 2026.
