In cancer of World War I, the supermodel shared its history of ovarian cancer treatment.
On February 4, the world celebrated World Cancer Day, Italian supermodel Bianca Balti decided to openly talk about her own experience in fighting the disease.
The 40-year-old model said that in September 2024, he was evaluated by doctors with ovarian cancer. He had an operation, and in October he began a course of chemotherapy, completed by the end of January 2025.
Balti published a series of photos from the time of treatment and shared his emotions:
“Until September 8, 2024, the day, when Cancer, especially ovarian cancer, entered my life, feeling like a death penalty. On October 14, I started chemotherapy, which just ended Monday, January 27, but, in my way for the last months, I felt alive, as before.
The model also said that Cancer was not the first offensive to her family. At the age of 39, her aunt died of breast cancer, and her mother was diagnosed with myelom.
In 2021, Balti learned that it was a carrier of the BRCA1 Gene, the mutation which increases the risk of developing breast cancer. Therefore, he decided to make a double mastractomy to prevent the disease.
Despite the difficult path, Bianca Balti remains optimistic and emphasizes that Cancer has taught her that even to appreciate every moment of her life.
