The former BBB currently lives in Australia and reported great disappointment after being cut from the documentary in an episode about diversity and inclusion
Ariadna Arantes, the first transsexual woman to participate in Big Brother Brasil, experienced great disappointment when she was cut from the documentary “BBB: O Documentário – Mais Que Uma Espiada”, shown by Globo last Tuesday, 8. In October of the year In the past, the former participant traveled from Australia to Brazil, where she currently resides, spending more than R$25,000 out of her own pocket to record her participation.
However, despite the expectation of seeing his testimony in the second episode, which would address topics such as diversity and inclusion, Ariadna was informed by production that her name had been removed from the edition, without any explanation.
In an interview with Contigo!, Ariadna he was unable to hide his frustration and suffering. “I still haven’t been able to get out of bed, take a shower or eat. I’m trying to understand what happened”, she said, visibly shaken. She also regretted not being heard by the Globo audience, an opportunity she had been waiting for for years, as her participation in BBB took place at a time when she had no space to speak openly about her experiences.
Ariadna’s Sadness
Globo had announced, in a statement on January 3, that Ariadna would be in the episode focused on diversity and inclusion, along with other former BBBs. However, when waking up early to watch the screening, the negative surprise was even greater when a producer confirmed that her participation had been withdrawn.
Ariadna highlighted that the recording was light, without criticism or controversy, and questioned the reason for its exclusion, especially in the month of trans visibility. “I feel invisible once again”, she concluded. See the outburst posted on social media:
