The soloist of the group KAZKA said that he will not return to the National selection for Eurovision if his participation does not guarantee success.
The soloist of the group KAZKA Alexandra Zaritskaya shared her thoughts about participating in the National selection for Eurovision.
The artist tried twice to get to the main European music competition: in 2018 the group took sixth place, and in 2019 – third.
In an interview on the YouTube channel Okay Eva, the artist admitted that for him it remains an “unclosed gestalt” because he dreams of entering the international competition stage.
“It’s like an open gestalt that I participated in the national selection twice and I lost twice,” said the performer.
However, Alexandra mentioned that she is not ready to participate again due to the intense competition. He named the only condition under which he will return to the National Selection: it is a guarantee of victory.
“Now I don’t think I’m ready to go to the national selection, I’m ready to go to the national selection if they tell me: “Alexandra, you’re going to win.” We love you so much. Can you think of our country right away?” I would say, yes, okay, I will. And so, I will not sit and compete with these young people,” explained Zaritskaya.
It was previously reported that Anastasia Prikhodko expressed criticism of the international song competition Eurovisionsaying that Ukraine’s participation in it is not yet advisable.
