The Ukrzaliznytsia Supervisory Board agreed to the indexation of tariffs for the transportation of goods, which have not been indexed for almost two years, from the summer of 2022.
JSC Ukrzaliznytsia plans that indexed tariffs will start working from February 2025. This was announced by the head of the company’s board, Alexander Pertsovsky, in an interview Interfax-Ukraine.
It is hoped that this will allow UZ to continue transportation safely and without interruption.
While the time of implementation of the tariff depends on the speed of all necessary approvals.
“In our draft financial plan – so that the company can remain afloat and be able to safely and continue to carry out transportation, we proceed from the fact that the indexed tariffs will work from February 1, 2025. Otherwise, there great operational risk due to the lack of funding of repairs, the inability to support a group of railway workers,” explained Pertsovsky.

During this period, the index of the industrial producer price reached 176.4%. At the same time, railway workers proposed to limit the indexation of the tariff to a more moderate number – only 37%, or about 13% on an annual basis, since 2.5 years have passed since the last indexation , the press service reported.
