The famous Swedish actor and director shared the good news: after nine years of fighting cancer, his body is completely free of cancer cells.
Dolph Lundgren, the world cinema star, announced that he beat cancer after almost a decade of struggle.
On Instagram, the actor shared a video from the hospital where he can be seen completing his treatment. Lundgren noted that thanks to the minimally invasive procedure, the last lung tumor was destroyed.
Dolph was first diagnosed with cancer in 2015. Doctors discovered a tumor on his kidney, which was successfully removed. However, in 2020, the disease returned, and metastases spread to the lungs, liver and stomach. According to the actor, at a certain stage his chances of recovery were estimated to be only 20%.
Despite the difficult times, Dolph did not give up, undergoing multiple courses of chemotherapy and further tests. Doctors have now confirmed that there are no more cancer cells in his body.
“Health news: I am finally cancer free, with gratitude and hope for a brighter future. Thank you for your continued support. It has been a difficult journey that has truly taught me to live here and now, to enjoy every moment of life,” Lundgren wrote.
Fans from around the world congratulated the actor on his success, emphasizing his resilience and strong belief in recovery.
