The event will take place on September 12th and will address learnings and challenges of the Manas por Manas research
The seminar will present the preliminary results, lessons learned and challenges from four years of field work in the Manas por Manas Research, which studies prevention and self-care methods among transvestites and trans women in Brazil, with a focus on HIV testing and the use of pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP).
The event will feature the participation of Prof. Dr. Maria Amelia Veras, national coordinator of the project, and the international coordinators, Dr. Jae Sevelius, from Columbia University, and Dr. Sheri Lippman, from the University of California. Researchers, health professionals, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community are invited to participate.
