Alain Delon, gays love you!

Delon populated the imagination of so many gays, of so many sexually confused boys, that we need to highlight this queer icon.

Alain Delon died at the age of 88 on Sunday, the 18th, at his home in Douchy, France. The news was announced in a statement from his family. “Alain Fabien, Anouchka, Anthony, as well as (his dog) Loubo, are deeply saddened to announce the passing of their father. He passed away peacefully at his home in Douchy, surrounded by his three children and his family. His family asks that you respect his privacy at this extremely painful time of mourning,” wrote Alain Delon’s children.

Delon left many boys full of feelings

At a time when the term LGBTQIA+ did not exist, when being homosexual was considered a “sin”, against the law and a reason to die, Delon populated the imagination of many gays, of so many sexually confused boys (due to lack of information), that we need to highlight this wonderful boy. One of his coolest and most memorable performances was in the classic “The Leopard”, where he was paired with the goddess Claudia Cardinale – an icon for trans artists of the time, inspiration for many personalities.

They are Tancredi Falconeri and Angelica Sedara, living a love in times of significant change – when Italy begins to unify and the republic is the only reality.

Available on Mubithe film is directed by Milanese Luchino Visconti (1906–1976), recreates the atmosphere experienced in the palaces of the aristocracy during the troubled reign of Francis II of the Two Sicilies and the Risorgimento — a long process of unification of the autonomous states that originated the Kingdom of Italy, in 1870.

The Italian political scene is reconstructed with the aim of interfering in the dilemmas of the fictional characters. It is an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa (1896–1957), published posthumously, which uses the fall of the Bourbon monarchy in the Kingdom of the Two Sicilies and its annexation to the then Kingdom of Sardinia, ruled by the Savoy dynasty.

Winner of the Palme d’Or at the 1963 Cannes Film Festival, the film is a masterclass in filming plans and social awareness.
